Jimmy ‘Jinky’ Johnstone was one of the most entertaining footballers that Scotland has ever produced, winning 23 Scotland caps during a memorable career. He was a skillful and brave winger with the ability to dribble past any defender. This was notably shown in the second leg of the semi-final of the European Cup against Leeds United in 1970. Johnstone made his first team debut for Celtic in 1963. He was a member of the Celtic team that became the first British club to win the European Cup in 1967. Johnstone left Celtic in 1975 after helping them win the European Cup, nine Scottish Championships, five League Cup medals and four Scottish Cups.
